At CanditAI, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. These Website & Platform Terms govern all user behaviour and interactions on both this website (candit.co) and the Candit Platform (app.candit.co). By using our platform, you consent to the practices described in these terms.

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the CanditAI website (candit.co) and web application (app.candit.co) (collectively, the "Services").
1.2 By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

2. Definitions

2.1 "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Services.
2.2 "Account" means the registration details and credentials used by a User to access the web application.
2.3 "Credits" mean the units consumed to generate AI interview preparations on the platform as per the subscription plan.
2.4 "Subscription Plan" means the plan selected by the User which defines the number of credits and pricing applicable.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Users must register an Account with a valid email address and password to access the web application.
3.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and agree not to share their accounts.
3.3 Users agree to immediately notify CanditAI of any unauthorized use of their account or security breaches.

4. Use of Services

4.1 The Services provide AI-based interview preparation content generated using User data such as resumes uploaded to the platform.
4.2 All User data and uploads are secured using enterprise-grade encryption via Base44, accessible solely by the User.
4.3 Users must comply with any upload limits associated with their Subscription Plan.
4.4 The Services are licensed for personal, non-commercial use, and Users agree not to misuse or interfere with the platform operation.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

5.1 CanditAI offers the following Subscription Plans:

    5.1.1 Free Plan (Personal User) – £0/month for up to 1 Credit/Prep per month

5.1.2 Candit Lite (Personal User) – £8.99/month for up to 5 Credits/Preps per month
    5.1.3 Candit+ (Personal User) – £12.99/month for up to 10 Credits/Preps per month
    5.1.4 Candit Pro (Personal User) – £22.99/month for up to 25 Credits/Preps per month

5.1.5 Free Plan (Business User) – £0/month for up to 1 Credit/Prep per month

5.1.6 Business (Business User) – £89/month for up to 25 Credits/Preps/Invites per month
    5.1.7 Business+ (Business User) – £229/month for up to 80 Credits/Preps/Invites per month
    5.1.8 Business Pro (Business User) – £559/month for up to 25 Credits/Preps/Invites per month

5.1.8 Custom (Business User) – Contractually agreed

5.2 All payments are processed securely via Stripe. CanditAI has no direct access to User payment details beyond necessary subscription status notifications.
5.3 Subscription pricing is subject to change with prior notice to Users through the platform.

6.0. Credit Usage & Credit Definition (Personal Users)

6.0.1 Each credit permits one AI interview preparation generation.
6.0.2 Credits do not roll over to subsequent billing periods.
6.0.3 Availability of free credits under the Free Plan is not guaranteed and subject to change.

6.1. Credit Usage & Credit Definition (Business Users)

6.1.1 Each credit permits one AI interview preparation generation for an invited candidate/user.
6.1.2 Credits do not roll over to subsequent billing periods.
6.1.3 Availability of free credits under the Free Plan is not guaranteed and subject to change.

6.1.4. Business users will only be charged 1 credit per invite if that invitation has been fulfilled. Any invitations will turn 1 credit into a pending credit until that invitation has been fulfilled/completed by the invitee.

6.1.5. Business users are not charged for invites, emails or notifications to candidates through invites, they are charged on fulfilled/completed invitations.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

7.1 Users may cancel subscriptions at any time via the platform interface.
7.2 No refunds shall be provided for paid subscriptions except on a pro rata basis at CanditAI's discretion, processed through Stripe.
7.3 Candit reserves the right to suspend or terminate User (both Personal and Business users) access and subscriptions at any time for any reason, including suspected misuse or suspicious activity.
7.4 Refunds are not guaranteed in cases of technical issues resolved within 24 hours; however, pro rata refunds may be considered for extended outages beyond 24 hours at CanditAI's discretion.

8. User Conduct and Restrictions

8.1 Users shall not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, or harmful purposes.
8.2 Sharing of accounts or circumventing upload limits is prohibited.

8.3 Business users should operate on the platform diligently at all times, and any high degree of invite cancellations may result in termination of a Business account.
8.4 Breach of these conduct obligations may result in suspension or termination of access without refund.

9. Technical Support and Service Availability

9.1 The Services rely on Base44 infrastructure and may experience occasional outages or technical difficulties.
9.2 CanditAI endeavours to resolve issues within 24 hours of detection.
9.3 Users are not entitled to compensation for disruptions lasting less than 24 hours.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 All content, features, and software comprising the Services remain the property of Candit and its licensors.
10.2 Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Services in compliance with these Terms.
10.3 Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of CanditAI's content is prohibited.

11. Privacy and Data Security

11.1 CanditAI's Privacy Policy governs the collection and processing of personal data.
11.2 User data and uploaded documents are encrypted and secured through enterprise-grade infrastructure, accessible only by the respective User.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanditAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Services.
12.2 The AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Amendments to Terms

13.1 CanditAI reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
13.2 Updated Terms will be posted on the website, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of such changes.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to Candit'AIs operating jurisdiction within the United Kingdom.
15.2 Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United Kingdom.
